Joseph LYONS or LYON
was born around 1792 in Whitechapel, in London's East End (England). He worked variously
as a clothes' salesman in Westminster and later as a Scaler and then as General
Dealer in the Spitalfields area. With his wife Mary (nee BARNETT), he lived in the
Petticoat Lane area of London, in Eastman's Court and in Middlesex Street. Joseph was
described as "Joseph son of Moshe".
Joseph and Mary had the following children:
